Jia You!! Jia You!!!
JIA YOU!! JIA YOU!! Thats what chinese say when they are cheering a team on. So when Yao Ming is playing or when you see table tennis matches on the CCTV's sports channel thats what you hear. Not "CARRNN THE CROWS!!!" its "JIA YOU!!! JIA YOU!!!"
So in light of the Crows first win of their 2006 Premiership season..
JIA YOU CROWS!! JIA YOU CROWS!!!

Jia is the name of a game I just invented, so I'm trying to discover all the meanings of the word "Jia" along with combinations of Jia with other words.
How would you translate the expression "Jia You" into English?
I believe that the Jaiyou chant means "add oil" when literally translated - tho I have never fully understood what that is supposed to mean...
"Jia You" or "Add Oil" is a Chinese phrase that means to keep on going, don't give up; to add energy. So for example, when a student is studying, a friend might say "Jia You" to encourage the student to keep on studying hard and to keep on putting energy into studying.
